The lively and hardworking women of the beautiful town of Urla, where the history dates back centuries, had a common goal: To encourage women to produce together and earn together, to support their economic independence, to contribute to the home economy, and to the development of Urla in this way.

They met in 2014. They bought the agricultural products grown in the fertile lands of Urla from the farmers and made preserves, jams, and pickles from them. They made their voices heard on social media; When the artichoke season came, they took the crop from the farmer, processed, made canned, made noodles, and sold them all over Turkey. Henna okra has become a big passion even for those who do not even okra. While everyone was enjoying the pleasure of eating delicious fresh products, they undoubtedly felt the priceless pleasure of supporting both women and farmers deep in their hearts. Because a strong woman meant a strong society.

Urla Women's Cooperative was one of the first cooperatives we looked for when we decided to establish 'Mahalle'. They greeted us with big enthusiasm and love on a wonderful summer day and conveyed a message to you: 'We, 171 women from Urla, put our effort and love into everything we do. We would like to thank you for giving a place on your table for our products and for supporting this effort.'
